I knowwww - more NYC pics to bombard you with, but I just had to save the best for last.
After recovering from our Indian food coma from the night before, Saturday morning our stomachs led us downtown to the famous Katz's Deli. Known for its huge and delicious servings of pastrami sandwiches and matzo ball soup, this old school deli is equally known for its role in popular culture. I, for one, had to go here because it's in one of my fave movies, When Harry Met Sally - DUH! Sally (aka Meg Ryan) seems to have an *extraordinary* reaction to her sandwich (see it here) when eating out with Harry. Although I didn't have the exact same reaction biting into my reuben (fortunately), this place is definitely a little piece of history worth stopping by - plus, having ridiculous fries and ginormous sandwiches doesn't hurt either.
Needless to say, I'm keeping the food on the lighter side this week ;)

I drive past Katz's so often (in a taxi!) on my way out and I've always always wanted to eat there. Jealous of your meal (um, delicious?!).
So fun. I love 'When Harry Met Sally' but haven't made it to Katz's yet. My boss saw Jake Gyllenhal there a couple years ago, so it's definitely on my list of places to try!
I need to go here! Apparently the woman who said 'I'll have what she's having' was the directors Mum!
